Daylily Nut -- 2007 Introductions
![]()
Introducing Pequeno Alpamayo, Bolivia, 17,900 feet.
Sorry, no daylily introductions for 2007. I have other interests that I pursue, and as I approached my 60th birthday, I figured it was time to work toward one of those "want to do before I die" goals before it was too late. I've always wanted to climb mountains much higher than those found in Colorado where I lived for 10 years. So in January 2007 I began training, then headed off to Bolivia during their dry season in June (even though it's winter there at that time). I spent a month climbing mountains, including the very photogenic one (not the old geezer, the mountain) shown above. I got as high as 19,500 feet during my climbs. Also had a chance to visit a must-see spot -- one of the new seven wonders of the world, Machu Picchu, Peru.

OK, now back to daylilies! I'll be doing more climbing, but no more excursions during bloom season.
Shipping will be by USPS Priority Mail. Shipping cost is $8.00 for the first three plants plus $1 for each additional plant.
The DaylilyNut Farm has never had rust. It is state inspected, and is located about 25 miles west of Baltimore, MD. The garden has been relocated to a cold pocket valley, on the boundary between USDA climate zones 5 and 6 (coldest winter night is about -10F).
